PPC sends a regular e-newsletter to all Pod leaders (PLs) with Pod Engagement Suggestions, including updates, announcements, and tips to strengthen and grow your Pod. Each month there is a different focus, usually spotlighting a particular resource or an upcoming PPC webinar.
The Engagement Suggestions newsletter also includes an agenda that PLs can use to plan a Pod meeting. For the most part, the Pod Meeting agenda sections are timeless and usable by PLs to develop a variety of interesting meetings.
All past Engagement Suggestions can be found in this chronological listing of the Engagement Suggestions newsletters.
These newsletters are designed to help plan the focus of an upcoming Pod Meeting, include videos and recipes to share with Pod members, and more!
Active Pod leaders and members of the Pod Advisory Committee have developed a directory of Pod leaders. This spreadsheet contains the contact information of a number of active Pod leaders and serves as an opportunity to connect, network, and support each other.

As part of the Moving Medicine Forward Initiative, we have created the Master Class in Plant-based Clinical Nutrition, a 12-unit series that places the healing power of plant-based nutrition into the hands of every physician, medical student, and health professional who wants to help their patients heal on the deepest levels.
Led by clinician Michael Klaper, M.D. who brings almost 40 years of plant-based experience healing to his entertaining, slide-illustrated lectures — the principles of how to use the patient’s diet to transform their body’s chemistry and physiology to arrest and reverse degenerative disease are revealed.
From clogged arteries, obesity and diabetes, to colitis, arthritis and osteoporosis, the science behind why the foods of the Standard American Diet can foster such diseases is presented and, more importantly, practical strategies on how to use a whole-food, plant-based diet to restore vital function are shared.
Each MMF Master Class comes with a clinical case along with thought-provoking questions that invite the participants to analyze and understand nutrition’s role in fostering both health and disease. If you want to acquire this valuable skill set — and the clinical confidence that comes with it — click here to purchase the entire 12-unit series or an individual MMF Master Class you are interested in.

As part of an effort to strengthen the leadership capacity of Pod Leaders (PLs), PPC has developed a Mentor Program to support Pods and their PLs who are new to the Pod Network or who could use some extra support or guidance. PLs who apply will be matched with an experienced PL who will offer extra support beyond the support of PPC Pod Support Team members.
The intention is to ensure that Pod member involvement results in meaningful projects, ongoing learning, and contributions to the growing plant based movement. The role of the Pod Leader is crucial in achieving that objective.
The Mentor Program supports new and existing Pod Leaders who are interested in being paired with other Pod Leaders (Mentors) in order to work on strengthening their own Pods. If you are interested in working with a Mentor or becoming a Mentor, please complete one of the following forms:
Pod Leader Interested in Being a Mentor: https://formstack.io/AAFCB

Created specifically for Pod Leaders in the Pod Network, you can come to the private Pod Leaders Facebook group to interact with other Pod leaders and stay up-to-date on resources and happenings at PPC which are specific to the Pod Network. The Oasis Jumpstart Program brings whole food, plant-based meals, science-based nutrition education, and healthy lifestyle practices to underserved neighborhoods across the country.
Through Oasis, PPC works with local coordinating groups to strengthen the local infrastructure in order to achieve short term impact and long-term change. The Oasis Program offers participants the opportunity to learn about the benefits of a whole food, plant-based diet while enabling them to experience the powerful health impacts firsthand.
The Jumpstart program has yielded exciting results — the majority of participants in the Mebane Jumpstart (featured in the PlantPure Nation documentary) who were on prescription drugs were able to reduce or discontinue those medications after just 10 days, and many people with diabetes, high lipids, arthritis and other chronic conditions found relief by the end of the program. PPC Pods work with faith-based groups, food banks, businesses, government entities, health systems, clinics, and local nonprofits to carry out neighborhood-wide Jumpstarts that are affordable and can be cross-subsidized.
Working with the local coordinating groups, biometric data is collected for Oasis participants before and after the initial 10-day Jumpstart period, so each person experiences firsthand the powerful impact of nutrition on their health. An underlying tenet of the Oasis Program is to use the 10-day Jumpstart as the catalyst to attract and deliver a large, cooperative set of activities all working synergistically to achieve lasting change in the health and well-being of the participants and community. Participants are inspired to make lasting changes when they see the biometric data that proves the powerful benefits of eating plant-based in just 10 days, and the Program also calls for a supplemental services component that will improve the likelihood of success in the short-term and sustaining change over the long-term. In Oasis Pilot communities, Pods work with local groups to help build new connections with local resources that offer support and education, such as cooking classes and grocery shopping/label reading tours, as well as local gardening, fitness classes, and more.
The Oasis Program has been strengthened significantly through the integration of the PPC Pod-run Oasis Pilots at the community level. Hundreds of Oasis participants, their families and friends, have made the informed decision to take control of their health by changing what they eat.
For more information about how to get involved in the Oasis Jumpstart Program, send an email to info@plantpurecommunities.org or have a look at our website.
